India is a great country situated in the Asian continent. Delhi is the capital of our country India. India has an area of approximately 3.28 million km. due to the area of India, India is a considered the 7th largest country in the world. like the area of India, the population of India comes second in the world and this population is 1.2 billion. India is a very good and big country. which is known for its diversity, language, culture, religion, food, and all such specialties. and this specialty of India make India the most famous. culture of India is very big and vast subject.

There are different states in India and different languages are spoken in different states. according to the state the people their culture and food all are attractive, and each state create it’s on identity. the economy of India is also strong in the same way, and it is the third largest economy in the world. some of the cities in India are also among the biggest cities. people of different religion and cast live in India but the largest number among them is of Hindu religions and people follow Hindu religion mostly.

Just as there are different states in India its States have it on different traditions and festivals. in India festivals like Holi, Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, Dussehra are celebrated with the great enthusiasm by people all over the world. and everyone celebrate these festivals with great pom and show. many cities and historical places of India are very famous.

Diversity of Indian Culture| Information About India

Indian culture is a very big subject. due to the diversity of India, its culture is also equally vast and significant. the culture of India has considered to be the oldest culture even though there is diversity in Indian culture there is evidence of unity here. that is why it’s called “Unity in diversity”. religion is given a lot of importance in Indian culture, and this has always been the case. A beautiful of amalgamation of material and spiritual progress can be seen in Indian Culture. Indian people live in brotherly spirit. People of many castes and religions live in India that is why diversity is seen in everything here.

Indian Religion: –

Many types of people live in India. people of many castes and religions even to people of many castes and religions live here this nation is called as “Secular nation”. no religion is insulted or hurt here, all religions and their customs are given equal respect. there are many religions in India which have difference among their followers.

  • Vedic Religion: – Vedic religion is the oldest religion of India. which is full of specialty of thoughts and behavior found in the Vedic scriptures. Vedic religion of India shows its authenticity in history, language, handicraft, values, art and religion. Vedic religion develops in the Vedic period 1500 to 500 years ago. the rituals of Vedic religion are still at popular today and mantras are chanted in Vedic religion which are recited during any workshop, recitation, Yagya. Vedic religion includes different religions due to which many forms of God are found. There is a great faith in God in Vedic religion. The sect of Vedic religion propagates Vedic sect form the Vedic scriptures in which their proof. The philosophy of God seen in different forms and their faith, specialty, proof all is found in Vedic religion.
  • Jainism: – Jainism is a religion that originated in the subcontinent of India. the main basic of Jainism is nonviolence, truth, non-possession and Anekant. The followers of Jainism are called Jains. Non- violence is the biggest and most important belief of Jainism which is followed very strictly by the Jains, and they are also very careful about their food habits. In Jainism, special importance is given to the worship of Jinadev, Jinendra and Vitrag Bhagwan.
  • Buddhism: – Buddhism also known as Buddha Dharma, is a religion belief base on the teaching of Buddha. non- violence, truth, non- possession, these are the great teachings of Buddhism, there are three main sects in Buddhism, Theravada, Mahayana, Vajrayana. Buddhism is the four largest religions in the world. which is followed by about 35 crore people.
  • Sikhism: – Sikhism Is an ancient religion and it was founded in the 15th century by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. the followers of Sikhism are called “Sikhs”.Non- violence, non- possessions are the basic principle of this religion. in Sikhism, there is only one God who is called Ek- Omkar. Sikhs believe in the existence of Akal and Nirankar God
  • Islam Religion: – This religion is spread all over the world. Islam means “living according to the will of God”. the followers of Islam are called Muslims. in Islam people believe in only one word and they considered shipping him as their region.
  • Parsi Religion: – Parsi is an ancient religion. this religion was founded by Zarathustra, a prophet of the Iranian branch of Aryans. the followers of Parsi religion are called Parsi or Zohrabians. people of Parsi religion also believe in one word whom they called “Ahura Mazadaiya”. Followers of Parsi religion are found in India, Iran, North America, and today their number is about 1 Lakh, out of which 70 percent people live in Mumbai.
  • Judaism: – Judaism is the oldest religion in the world and it considered to the first monotheistic religion in the world. it is the state religion of Israel and Hebrew speaking people. they believe that the universe has existed since the creation of the universe. Christianity and Islam are the base religion of Judaism, so they are called Abrahamic religions.

Indian Festival| Information About India

India is a country full of diversity, so in the same way festivals full of diversity are found in India. people of many castes and religions live in India and their festivals and culture are unique. some of the main festivals which are celebrated all over the world are mentioned below: –

  • Holi: – Holi is a festival full of colors. it is celebrated on the full moon day of the month of Falgun. Holi is celebrated by applying colors on each other.

  • Diwali: –Diwali is the festival that is celebrated with great pomp and show all over the world. this festival is full of merriment, lights and joy. Diwali is celebrated in the month of October or November.

  • Dussehra: – Dashara is celebrated on the 10 days of the month of Ashwin. it is also called Ravan Dahan. on this day people make an effigy of Ravan and burn it. Ravan Dahan is considered to mean the burning of evil.

  • Janmashtami: – Janmashtami festival is celebrated to mark the birth of lord Krishna. on this day people observe fast for the whole day and break their fast at 12 in the night and lord Krishna was born. On this day Lord Krishna is worshipped with great faith and the cradle is rocked.

  • Raksha Bandhan: – This festival is of brother and sister. on the day of Raksha Bandhan the sister ties a Rakhi is on her brother wrist and take a promise from him to protect her. this festival it celebrated on the full moon day of the month of Shravan.

  • Ganesh Chaturthi: – Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival dedicated to lord Ganesha. Ganesh Chaturthi celebrated by worshipping the idol of lord Ganesha for 10 days. this festival is celebrated with great faith not only in India but also in other part of the world

  • Baisakhi: – Baisakhi festival is celebrated as new year of Punjabi people.

  • Navratri: – The festival of Navratri is celebrated in the month of Chaitra and Ashwin. Navratri means 9 days in which 9 forms of goddess are worshipped. this is the main festival of Gujarati people it is celebrated by playing garba.

  • Eid: – Eid festival is celebrated by the Muslim community
